A letter to GOD!

To my beloved SAI,

I cannot remember the start of our story, the start of a story of unconditional and infinite LOVE for one another, nor can I remember when it happened, how long ago! May be I was a pre-school kid then, or may be it started when I was born, I don't know.
Ever since it began, I've loved you, more and more by the day, like a mother would love her kids, like a devoted wife would love her companion, like one would love one's parents, and even more.
You were my best friend. I grew up hearing stories of little Satya Narayana Raju of yester years, of listening to those myriad miracles which were your calling cards to people to come and experience your divinity.

As I look at these hundreds of articles on you talking of your divinity, praising you for all the service you've done to mankind, describing the infinite love and affection you've showered upon the people, I pity them, for they could not understand it while you were wth us physically, they could not bask in the glory of the Lord, I stand better. I'm happy to have seen you, to have exchanged words with you, to have fallen in your sight, to have received your smile, to have met eyes with you and to have been blessed with much more. Glad I feel, for indeed I'm blessed to belong to that half of the world that understood atleast a tenth in a millionth part of your divinity.

But for the human mind that it is, contentment is so nearly impossible. The more I saw you, the more I was attracted towards you, I wanted to see you more and more, I wanted to be there watching you forever. I always wished time would come to a standstill. I always wished I could sit there forever in front of you, at your feet and enjoy the beauty of your form forever.

Nevertheless, You've decided to draw the curtains to the divine drama that you played for almost a month, you decided that it be the end, or rather the beginning of the latter part of your mission. For someone like me, and for the millions out there for whom you were everything, for whom you were the first thought at the start of the day, and your face was the last they saw before their sleep, whose every moment of life was filled in singing your glory and chanting your name, it's very difficult to accept the truth that your physical form is no more here with us, that your beautiful form is no more walking the earth. We can no more call you 'Love walking on two feet' or 'The CEO of the universe' nor can we be a witness to scenes that could be aptly described as ' The Creator is admiring his own Creation' or 'An intertwined Love affair with God'. I will never get to witness your ear-twisting mechanisms to set right the biggest mistakes of your children, or better said, the ear-twisting mechanisms you took up to recharge our spiritual batteries.

That the hour long waits for your darshan, the craning of necks just to get one glimpse of your saffron robe, the God frenziness which was a regular sight to see, the occasional Jugalbandi between the Purusha and Prakriti, the overflowing ocean of your love that filled the Kulwant hall, the flow of tears when our eyes met, the waves of Joy when you acknowledged our love for you, the yearning of all the souls for YOU, the occasional glitters of gold and silver in your hands, the showers of blessing you bestowed upon the birthday boys and girls, the exchange of gifts between you and your dear little primary school kids, the divine enquiries like 'where are you from? How many?', 'Bangaru', 'Very happy Very happy' and much more, is no more, will never sink in.

There will be no one to take care of our every step, to ensure that we had our meals, to bless us with things unasked for, to bestow upon us some inexplicable, wonderful experiences. The next time I'm there, it will all look very different, I'm not sure if anyone of us is prepared for what lay ahead, it's our united hope and faith that you will still stand by us and guide us through our lives just as you've done these eight decades, that you will help us with the strength and courage needed to carry on with your mission. May we all carry the responsibility you've laid on us, to safeguard the treasures of love and peace, with utmost sincerity and reverence.

Thank you so much for coming down to earth and walking amongst us, like one amongst us, to teach us all the value of life, and love. Thank you for being there. We love you and miss you.

Tu pyaar ka sagar hai.
Tu pyaar ka sagar hai.
Teri ek boond ke pyaasi hum
Teri ek boond ke pyaasi hum
Tu pyaar ka sagar hai.

Offering you my LOVE,
One in a million million.
